Jenny is a young woman growing up in East LA. When she realizes that she is pregnant, her boyfriend Lalo devises a plan for them to leave Los Angeles and travel north. But there’s one big problem: they belong to rival gangs.
Janine Salinas Schoenberg has had her work developed at the MacDowell Colony, Film Independent, and the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive. In 2013 she participated in the AFI Directing Workshop for Women where she was awarded the Nancy Malone Directing Award for her short, Jenny & Lalo.
