This animated short began as a young woman’s attempt to get to know her deceased grandmother through photographs and her mother’s words. It evolved into an investigation of the ways her grandmother’s struggle with schizophrenia affected her mother’s life, and in turn, her own life. It explores the generational connections between the three women, and what it means to have a ‘standard’ life.
